2026 Annual Giving Campaign

More Than a Building.

A Place To Belong.

Every child deserves a place where they are safe, seen, and surrounded by people who see their worth and invest in their future. The Living in purpose center is that place and we need your help to keep building it.

Why We Exist

Closing the Gap. Creating a Future.

The Child Opportunity Index shows too many children grow up without access to quality education, safe neighborhoods, and healthy community support. These gaps shape lifelong outcomes — from academic success to income, mental health, and community safety. Living in Purpose exists to close these gaps.

Through Youth Development, we provide mentoring, academic support, life skills, and workforce pathways. Through Family Empowerment, we stabilize the home with financial coaching, housing support, and parent advocacy. Through Community Impact, we strengthen the networks around every family.

What You Make Possible

Your Gift Builds More than a Building.

Renovate the Kitchen

A renovated kitchen means meals can be prepared and culinary skills can be taught through our Health & Wellness programs— nourishing bodies and building futures under one roof.

Improve Learning Spaces

Better rooms for Men in Training, CLASSI Girls, tutoring, STEAM workshops, and workforce development where young people gain real skills and direction.

A Space to Belong

A warm, welcoming Community Resource Center where every young person who walks in knows they are safe, seen, and surrounded by people who genuinely care.

Family Support

Support Families through programs like financial literacy, housing stability support, family counseling referrals, and parent empowerment that creates lasting change.

Workforce Pathways

The MIT Workforce Pathway, together with STEAM and digital skills workshops, prepares participants for real careers in web design, skilled trades, film editing, podcasting, and professional development.

Double the Impact

A $100,000 reimbursable grant is already secured. Every dollar the community raises helps unlock matching investment — making every gift go twice as far before December 31.

Why Now

A Rare and Strategic Moment for Our Community.

This campaign comes at a pivotal time. As eligible renovation costs are paid and reimbursed, community giving unlocks another dollar for the Living in Purpose Center. The young people we serve don't need another speech about their potential.

They need a place that helps them live it — and the deadline to complete this work is December 31, 2026.

D' Angelo Johnson

Men in Training Student

“I’m Living Proof That Opportunity Changes Everything.” D’Angelo Johnson I grew up in Barton Village in Augusta, raised by my grandparents. My mom battled serious health challenges, and I didn’t have a relationship with my father. For a long time, my environment could have defined my future. The biggest challenge I faced wasn’t just where I came from; it was staying focused while everything around me tried to pull me off track. It’s easy to get consumed by your surroundings when that’s all you see. But Men in Training stepped in.  They didn’t just give me support; they gave me perspective. I learned that if you want more, you have to do more. Nobody is coming to do it for you. I learned that adversity isn’t an excuse. That no matter what you face, you can rise above it if you’re willing to stay focused and put in the work. With their guidance and mentorship, I was able to graduate from college with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary. Today, I’m working as an Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation Technician with MP Materials, earning over six figures. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because someone invested in me when they didn’t have to. There are more young men just like me full of potential, but surrounded by pressure, distractions, and limited opportunities. What changed my life wasn’t talent alone. It was access. It was mentorship. It was someone believing in me before I fully believed in myself.

Questions

Have Questions About Giving?

We're here to help. Reach out any time and we'll get back to you quickly.

Where does my donation go?

100% of campaign gifts go directly toward renovating and strengthening the Purpose Center — including the kitchen renovation, improved mentoring and tutoring spaces, and creating a more welcoming environment for the youth and families we serve.

Is my donation Tax- deductible?

Yes. Living in Purpose is a registered nonprofit organization and all gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your records following your gift.

What is the reimbursable grant match?

Living in Purpose has secured a $100,000 reimbursable grant tied to these capital improvements. As eligible renovation costs are paid and reimbursed, community giving can effectively help unlock more investment — meaning a $100,000 community effort can become as much as $200,000 of impact.

Is my Online Donation Secure?

Yes. All online transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment systems. Your personal and financial information is fully protected.

What happens if the campaign isn't reachable?

Every dollar raised still goes directly to the Living in Purpose Center renovations. We prioritize projects based on available funding and work to maximize impact at every level. The campaign deadline of December 31, 2026 is tied to the reimbursable grant, so giving sooner amplifies your impact
